Camila was selected as one of the 20 entrepreneurs of Climate KIC’s program “Pioneers into Practice”.  She will be working for six months along with other innovators that address Sustainability issues in their daily work. Climate KIC fosters innovation in projects related to Climate Change, handling it as a “complex problem”. It’s based on the concept of “Systems Thinking” and applies the “Systems Innovation” methodology, which by the use of specific tools can address complex challenges in a more adequate way. The main strategic partner in Spain is the “Universidad Politécnica de Valencia”, which has already hosted two meetings with workshops and team building strategies, and where the final presentation of the team work will take place in early November.

Apart from the team project that is being developed since May, the Pioneers project offers an international placement of 4-6 weeks to work with a different entity in related topics. Camila will spend the month of October in Poland supporting the Municipality of Wroclaw in the development of their Sustainable Mobility Strategy. Besides collecting and analyzing data, she will contribute with citizen participation methodologies and strategies for the development of their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. It will be a very interesting experience from which we expect to learn by doing!
